STEAM Magnet

The Annalee STEAM Magnet Program is committed to integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathacross the curriculum. In the Magnet classes, teachers utilize strategies to engage the students through investigation and discovery. Students experience project-based learning tasks that promote higher-level thinking and problem solving abilities. Our mission is to develop skills in students that will prepare them for college and 21stcentury skills. We currently have (4) Magnet classes, which are in grades 2-5.  The staff is experienced, dedicated, and motivated.

Annalee STEAM Magnet classes have a student-to-teacher ratio that is lower than the traditional class sizes, providing more opportunities to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Students in the Magnet Program are exposed to several educational field trip excursions throughout the school year. Off-campus learning opportunities occur approximately every 4-6 weeks.

Magnet classes also experience on-campus visits from The Sea Lab Splash Science Program and The West Basin Mobile Art Lab.

Enrichment activities for the Magnet Students include Robotics Club and the Book Buddies Reading Club. *Afterschool parent permission forms are required for both clubs.

Student Council, School Ambassadors, and Garden Guardians are leadership programs planned for the 2019-2020 school year.
